My name is Eduard Vioque (Barcelona, 1975) and I´m an illustrator with ten years experience in the editorial field, mostly working for educational publishers, but open to work in others fields like children book, character design, comics books, etc.
I love to work mostly with digital tools, althought some times I keep drawing and painting with traditional tools, just for fun.
In my work, the line comes first, over the color. I tend to use color to show emotions, to give an emotional enviroment to the psicologic state of mind of the characters, but lines define the form and builds up the entire illustration.
I´ve been influenced by 70´s illustrators form the U.S, Germany, Spain like Maurice Sendak, Dieter Lange or Lorenzo Goñi, among others but I try to keep learning every single day and add those influences in my work, almost unconsciously.
One day in my life must have all these things, not in this order: I love to read novels(non-fiction books, my favorite and comics books, a lot of them) spent time with my family (I´m married and I have two children), cooking (my last vice) and doing sport.

Mi nombre es Eduard Vioque (Barcelona, 1975) y soy un ilustrador con diez años de experiencia en el sector editorial, especialmente en libros educativos, pero siempre abierto a trabajar en otros sectores como libros ilustrados, diseño de personajes, cómics, etc.
Me gusta trabajar en formato digital desde hace mucho tiempo, pero también disfruto dibujando y pintando de manera analógica, aunque solo sea por diversión.
En mi trabajo, la línea va primero, por encima del color. Me encanta trabajar el color, que suelo usar para mostrar las emociones de los personajes, el entorno y el estado emocional de los mismos, pero la línea siempre define la forma final de mis ilustraciones.
Mis influencias básicas se encuentran en los ilustradores norteamericanos, alemanes y españoles de los años 70, tales como Maurice Sendak, Dieter Lange o Lorenzo Goñi, entre muchos otros. Sigo aprendiendo cada día y sigo añadiendo todas esas influencias a mi trabajo, a veces de manera inconsciente.
Un día en mi vida debería tener todas estas cosas, no necesariamente en este orden: Me encanta leer novelas(libros de no-ficción, mis favoritos), cómics (tantos como puedo), pasar tiempo con mi familia (estoy casado y tengo dos hijos), hacer deporte y cocinar, mi último gran vicio.
